Overall, our prelim is not the most professional looking music video out there, however I feel like if we had more time to thoroughly prepare and plan our prelim, our production and outcome could have been different. This is definitely something that will be taken into consideration when creating my music video as I will leave plenty of room to plan and think my ideas through, making sure I have enough footage to create the best video I can.
One thing that could have gone better was if our group was able to bring in costumes that could represent the people in the music video more accurately. As well as this, our group could have worked better and more efficiently together, some people were absent through the editing stage, and multiple times through filming people were having to go to meetings. This is down to a lack of communication between the group, which could have been prevented and with the right communication skills, our group may have been able to get things done quicker. Instead, the editing was left to Izzy and I to do by ourselves, with contributions from Mia time to time. This put a slight strain on the two of us as we wanted the editing to be a quick process, but with limited time and only two of us working on it, it was a harder process than expected.
The whole process was very helpful and gave me a large insight into what to expect when filming my product, as well as giving me tips as to what to do and what not to do. The prelim was very useful and has helped me to build and develop my skills, ready for when I do my own music video.
