DIGIPAK DRAFT

I decided on a different image for my digipak, I found that the first one just wasnt as eye catching as this therefore this is the best idea I have up to now. I Will be taking more photos soon to see if I can take any more images that would suit my digipak.
I decided that these images do not work for my digipak, therefore I re took images in a different location. These images will be the ones featuring on the magazine and digipak

Magazine idea

The concept of this idea is to have the artist in focus at the front of the magazine, with multiple blurred images of the artist behind the one in focus, this catches the eye of the audience and emphasises the artist in the centre.

Studio shooting

Here are a few images of my female role getting ready for the shoot. Elle made sure she wore an off the shoulder top today so she was naked from the collar bones up, giving me the perfect image and film I needed to create this part of the video. Here she is applying the red lipstick I asked her to wear, as the representation of the female role is seen as wanting male attention with wearing bold red lipstick, hence the reason she is wearing it today.
These images where taken as I learnt which camera length was the best. I took both images and film at different lengths, mid and close ups, during this process, as i felt that a variety of different shots would look good edited and chopped throughout the video.

Working with the camera

After watching a video on changing settings to fit specific lights and focus on particular points, I took some pictures to show the difference between these aspects.
The first image is set with an ISO of 1600 and an aperture of 5.0. I later figures that these images where not the best in the dark as I didn't have the correct lense to take these sort of images, I later changed this.
This image was taken on night mode with a considerable low ISO setting, as you can tell the image is too dark
This was taken with a high aperture, making the image much lighter and unable to provide the perfect image for my media
The same goes for this one, I used a lens that only went down to 4.5 in aperture, which is not what the video said was the perfect aperture for night recording, the image was too light and you couldn't read everything on the screen.
The next two photos were taken with a different lens, a lens that was able to go down to 1.0 in apeture. This lens is the correct and most suitable lens to use when recording in the night, as the aperture settings can be changed to suit this and let in a certain amount of light in. this camera lens will be the one I use when recording in the dark as it provides the right settings and captures the highest quality images/
As you can see, this lens really pulls at the focal points and the image is clear and less grainy.

Original images before manipulation

These images are all images for the single inside cover of my digipak. The darker images would need some manipulation in order to see them properly and be the best quality they can be.

COLOURING

In my video I want to add a vintage look. Not washing out the colour completely but still adding a colour enhancer on to the video. This YouTube tutorial really taught me the basics on how to colour correct and helped me widen my knowledge to do so.

Video on camera 2

Again with this video, it gave me seven tips on how to shoot in low lighting. This video contained aspects that the previous video did, such as aperture change. However it also added information such as adding more light and changing the shutter speed to fit particular situations. This video again helped me develop my knowledge and understanding on how to work the camera in different settings and has bettered my ability to apply it.

Video on camera

I decided to watch some videos to help me understand and use the camera in dark lighting, these videos taught me how to change the aperture to fit particular settings and lighting, helping me to find the most suitable settings for my video.
